🧐 UPDATE ON WORLDCOIN
Worldcoin co-founder Sam Altman shared a video of a lengthy queue in Japan, where people were reportedly waiting to collect $50 worth of Worldcoin (WLD) tokens.
The riddled with controversy crypto project ‘Worldcoin’ has been all the buzz since we covered it a few days back.
Amid concerns from tech pioneers like Jack Dorsey and Vitalik Buterin, the crucial question presents itself: Is giving away your biometrics (👁️ scan) for $50 worth of WLD tokens worthwhile?
As per the Worldcoin co-founder's video (seen below), Japan seems to believe in the concept, as indicated by the long queue of people registering through the shared physical orb scanner.
Locations like Hong Kong are showing more skepticism towards the iris scanning project, they have only managed to gather 600 sign-ups across their 3 orbs.
day 3 of @worldcoin launch, crazy lines around the world. one person getting verified every 8 seconds now.
