This morning, CEO Larry Fink stated that BlackRock's charge into crypto aligns with the asset management giant's overarching mission of developing investor-friendly and cost-effective products.

Fink stated that “more and more of our global investors are asking us about crypto.” He continued by saying “it’s going to transcend any one currency… we believe there are great opportunities.”

In 2017, Fink expressed skepticism towards cryptocurrencies, attributing their popularity primarily to money laundering.
