😏 CRYPTO BANK CLOSE TO APPROVAL IN HONG-KONG

SEBA Bank, a cryptocurrency bank based in Switzerland, has received an approval-in-principle from Hong Kong's securities regulator.

The approval grants SEBA the opportunity to obtain a license for dealing in securities, including crypto-related offerings like structured products and over-the-counter derivatives.

SEBA will also be capable of offering advisory services on digital assets and securities, along with asset management for traditional and digital assets.

Amy Yu, SEBA's CEO for APAC, highlighted the potential in Hong Kong and Singapore, citing significant demand from crypto businesses for banking services.

Yu expressed confidence in obtaining official approval by year's end. 🤝

It seems like a common theme around the globe ➡️ guardrails need to be placed and capital is waiting to be deployed into the digital asset ecosystem.
