GM Brew Crew, we had a run-in with the barista this weekend and she told us our newsletter design looked awful. So what did we do? We listened, and tipped generously of course.
Along with the new design, we would like to introduce a new member of the Brew Crew. The shiny, blue, and absolute handsome stud above who goes by… 🥁🥁… Brewski !!
Hope you all enjoy. LET’S DIVE IN ⬇️

BLOCKCHAIN AUSTRALIA’S NEW CEO IS READY TO WORK 👍
Simon Callaghan, new CEO of Blockchain Australia, the primary organization representing the crypto industry in Australia, aims to accelerate the crypto regulatory process.
Callaghan believes that Australia should take regulatory inspiration from the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and Singapore, rather than the United States. Just a subtle jab at the U.S. crypto regulators, what’s new.
Callaghan mentioned that instead of suing major crypto exchanges and classifying numerous tokens as securities, he has scheduled meetings with major banks in Australia to form a clear path for the crypto sector.
In his first speech as CEO, Callaghan said, “everyone wants to know where the goalposts are so people can operate their businesses, build their technologies and create jobs.”
And of course, play some more rugby 🇦🇺 🏉

HONG KONG’S LARGEST BANK MAKES HISTORY 🏦
HSBC, a behemoth of a bank in Hong Kong, will be the first to offer cryptocurrency ETFs on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange
HSBC will begin with offering exposure to three ETFs: CSOP Bitcoin Futures ETF, CSOP Ethereum Futures ETF, and Samsung Bitcoin Futures Active ETF.
HSBC Hong Kong aims to increase local users' exposure to cryptocurrencies. With 1.7 million active mobile customers as of March 2022, online transactions account for about 95% of all retail transactions. In other words Hong Kong users were ‘born ready’ for the digital age 🖥️📲
This news drops after mid-June reports indicated that the Hong Kong Monetary Authority had exerted pressure on major banks to accommodate crypto exchanges as clients.

SCOOP: HSBC, the largest bank in Hong Kong, today allows its customers to buy and sell Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs listed on the Hong Kong exchange, and is also the first bank in Hong Kong to allow it. The move will expand local users’ exposure to cryptocurrencies in Hong Kong.
