BITCOIN ADOPTION IN MEXICO GOING UP 📈

CEO of Ibex Mercado, José Lemus, revealed an alliance with Grupo Salinas, a prominent Mexican conglomerate. This news flew over people's heads, but has a major potential impact for Bitcoin in Mexico.

The partnership between Ibex Mercado and Grupo Salinas enables millions of people in Mexico to pay their internet bills using the Bitcoin Lightning Network at Total Pay, a popular telecoms company.

José Lemus mentioned, “imagine if Best Buy, Bank of America, Fox News and an NFL team were all owned by the same individual. All of them will have (Bitcoin) lightning capabilities in the future.”

The Perth Heat, a baseball team owned by Grupo Salinas, already uses Bitcoin and Lightning for player salaries and fan engagement activities. Lemus expects to bring more partnerships and projects like this to Mexico.

FAKE TREZOR APP DISCOVERED: APPLE GIVES THEM THE BOOT 🥾

Following the disclosure of its existence by a researcher, Apple promptly eliminated a counterfeit Trezor wallet app from the App Store. However, it's worth noting that additional fraudulent apps may still be present.

A managing partner at Crypto Lawyers, sounded the alarm on June 20 concerning the Apple App Store. The top search result for "Trezor" (a popular crypto wallet co.) was found to be a deceitful application with the intention of stealing cryptocurrency.

The counterfeit "Trezor Wallet Suite" application, requested users seed phrase, thereby granting the app's operators full ability to their crypto holdings.

Upon learning about a Trojan horse infiltrating the Apple Store, The Brew Crew conducted their own investigation - what showed up at #1 this morning when “trezor” was searched ? Take a glance below and witness another deceptive app masquerading with the app name “Crypto multiwallet” + dev name "Trezor official"

U.S. CRYPTO EXCHANGE BACKED BY MAJOR NAMES LAUNCHES 🚨

After 9 months of development, EDX Markets (EDX), supported by Fidelity Digital Assets, Citadel Securities, and Charles Schwab, has officially launched in the United States. 

EDX CEO Jamil Nazarali announced the launch and expressed the aim to bring the “same values and standards of competition, transparency, fairness, and safety that investors in traditional assets expect and enjoy.”

Unlike other crypto exchanges, EDX does not custody customers' digital assets. Users will need to go through financial intermediaries for buying and selling, similar to traditional exchanges like the NYSE and the Nasdaq.

Currently, EDX offers four tokens: Bitcoin ($BTC), Ethereum ($ETH), Litecoin ($LITE), and Bitcoin Cash ($BCH) due to regulatory uncertainties. EDX aims to avoid trading potentially classified securities until there is more regulatory clarity.
