A filing with the US Government of Ethics recently brought to light an Ethereum balance of up to $500,000 associated with Donald Trump.

The filing confirms an Ethereum balance between $250,000 - $500,000.

While this sum is likely pocket change for the former president/real estate mogul, this is a big step in terms of principle considering his comments on crypto back in 2019:

“I am not a fan of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies, which are not money, and whose value is highly volatile and based on thin air. Unregulated Crypto Assets can facilitate unlawful behavior, including drug trade and other illegal activity....” - DJT

Donald Trump has since released 2 batches of NFTs (in winter of ‘22 and April ‘23) so hey, maybe he is warming up to the industry.
