In an announcement, Binance, the cryptocurrency exchange, has declared its departure from the Netherlands. Users have been advised to promptly withdraw their funds from the platform.Due to its failure to obtain a VASP license, Binance, the global cryptocurrency exchange, has exited the Dutch market.
Binance's services have been terminated immediately for new customers from the Netherlands. Existing Dutch customers can only withdraw assets starting from July 17, with no further purchases, trades, or deposits allowed.
Despite exploring multiple alternative options to cater to Dutch residents while complying with local regulations, Binance found that none of these avenues provided a viable path for VASP registration.
We regret to announce that Binance is leaving the Dutch market as we have been unable to register as a VASP with the Dutch regulator.
