Franklin Templeton, a prominent financial services company, has decided to participate in the competition to launch a spot Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF).

Franklin Templeton (not your art teacher in middle school) is a well-established player in structured investment products, such as mutual funds and ETFs.

Franklin Templeton has submitted a proposal to the SEC for an ETF that would be held in custody by Coinbase and traded on Cboe BZX Exchange.

The objective ➡️ provide everyday investors with an accessible way to include Bitcoin exposure in their brokerage accounts, alongside traditional investments like stocks and bonds.

Despite their reputation, the firm’s interest in a Bitcoin ETF is a noteworthy development since they have never pursued such a venture before.
