CRYPTO HEIST: ATOMIC WALLET USERS LOSE BTC, ETH, TETHER, AND MORE 🤬
Over the weekend, the crypto industry witnessed a major setback as Atomic Wallet, a centralized storage and wallet service, fell victim to a staggering $35 million token theft.
After a recent software update, some users reported that their crypto had been stolen, while others claimed to be affected despite not having updated to the latest version.
In a tweet on Monday, Atomic Wallet revealed that the affected users accounted for "less than 1% of our monthly active users," and the most recent drained transaction took place on Saturday.
Specifics of the attack have not been released yet. Victims are requested to submit information through a Google Docs form for the ongoing investigation.
